Refresh and Enable in Device Manager

• Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.

• Click View at the top menu and select Show hidden devices.

• Expand Sound, video and game controllers.

• If your audio device is listed with a grayed-out icon or a warning sign, right-click it and select Enable device or Uninstall device.

• If the device is completely missing, click Action at the top and select Scan for hardware changes.

• Restart your computer so Windows can re-detect the hardware and reload the clean driver state. [1, 2, 3]
